Conflict Minerals Policy Statement

We support Section 1502 of the United States Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, also known as the U.S. Dodd-Frank Act regarding the compliance of the use of so-called conflict minerals. Minerals such as gold, tin, tantalum, and tungsten have been associated with financing regional violence and an ongoing civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and its adjacent countries.

As a global manufacturer and supplier of linear and rotary sensors for industrial and automotive applications, we promote the traceability of Conflict Minerals and the transparency of the supply chain. We firmly believe that our customers should be fully informed about the products they purchase.

Novotechnik is committed to work with our customers to supply products that meet our customer’s specifications. Important information on the use of Conflict Minerals in the technology supply chain is being compiled by the Electronics Components Industry Association and the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition. This information may be viewed at https://www.ecianow.org/.

Novotechnik is aware of the difficult situation that products and components purchased from suppliers may contain minerals originating from conflict-affected countries.

We have inserted a uniform procedure to determine the use, source and origin of Conflict Minerals in our supply chain. In order to minimize risks, we are cooperating closely with our suppliers. We also make sure that we continue to act responsibly in purchasing.

Information on the 3TG used by Novotechnik is disclosed in the form of a so-called Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT and EMRT), which is created based on the feedback from the relevant suppliers and made available on our website.
