Suitable for highly dynamic positioning tasks

Thanks to its exceptionally good dynamic behavior, the new linear sensor is suitable for very fast positioning tasks. The update rate of the measuring system reaches 10 kHz with a very low tracking error. Thanks to the optimized control dynamics, there is no overshoot even with rapid changes in movement. The sensor works with a resolution of less than 1 μm.

Insensitive to magnetic fields

Novopad inductive technology is immune to magnetic fields generated, for example, by large motors, hydraulic valves, or frequency converters, because the position is Position marker inductively rather than via a magnetic Position marker . Another advantage is that metal shavings cannot accumulate on the non-magnetic position sensor.

No impairment due to vibrations and shocks

Due to the robust design - the measuring scale is realized via a printed circuit board - and the offset-tolerant inductive transmission, the Novopad technology is particularly suitable for use in vibration-loaded applications. The sensor accuracy and the output signal are not affected by these disturbances.

The right communication

The measurement signal is output as Current analog Current, or digitally via SSI, IO-Link, or CANopen; Ethernet interfaces are currently in the planning stages. In the analog version, a teach function allows for the calibration of the start and end positions as well as direction reversal.

The first choice for many applications

Typical applications include linear drives, injection molding and die casting machines, presses and punches in sheet metal processing, packaging or woodworking machines or position detection on fast motion units in production lines.
