This development is exemplified by concepts such as "smart farming" or "precision farming". Sensors are crucial in this development as they supply the on-board computer with the necessary data, for example for a variety of different positioning tasks.
It is not only essential to capture position and angles accurately, a high degree of reliability is also necessary outside in the tough conditions of mobile applications. This is where the advantages of conductive plastic potentiometers are clearly demonstrated. Due to their precision, reliability and cost-effectiveness they have no serious competitors in meeting mandatory quality standards.
They can also be adapted to special applications as is shown by the following example, where linear conductive plastic potentiometers are used in a precision seed drill.
