The packaging machines are automatically supplied with film. In order to keep the take-off speed of the film, which can be up to 50 m/min, from the reel constant, a so-called dancer arm is used. An angle sensor is mounted in its pivot point. It determines the current position of the dancer arm and thus the constantly decreasing circumference of the reel.
In order to maintain the speed to draw off a foil consistantly, a dancer arm, which is mounted in the pivot point, is used. The Sensor Potentiometer series SP-2841 in a custom design including an anti-deformation socket, cable and M12 cable box is used. The sensor signal affects the frequency converter in a way that the draw-off speed of the foil remains constant.
